GRASP starts (1/3/04)

The Gloucestershire Royal Schools Residency programme is now under way, with five local schools teaming up with professional artists to develop new artworks for six departments in the new hospital:

  • Linden Primary School with stained glass artist Clare Hudman and the Dermatology Department
  • Milestone School working with mobile artist Jamie Gutch and the Ophthalmology Department
  • Littledean Primary School working with installation artist Annabelle Craven-Jones creating work for two departments: Audiology and Ear, Nose & Throat
  • Holy Trinity Primary School & Cheltenham and Tewkesbury C-of-E Primary School working with multi-media artist Natasha Rampley and two departments: Trauma & Orthopaedic and Accident & Emergency

The four artists will be resident in the schools until May, with the resulting artwork due to be installed in the hospital in the summer (2004). This website will contain regular updates as the residencies progress.
