More artists selected (1/9/03)
The artists for the second set of commissions have now been selected/shortlisted. They include Simon Ryder, Jason Bruges, Heinrich & Palmer and Phil Morsman. This phase of commissions addresses the public areas of the new development, including Light Beacons (Simon Ryder) for the entrances to A&E, Outpatients, the Children's Centre and the existing Tower Block, a large wall-based work for the main atrium of the new Outpatients (Heinrich & Palmer, Phil Morsman), and a large free-standing piece for Outpatients' internal courtyard (Jason Bruges).
